How to merge several images into one
Start by dragging the files into the upload area or click "Choose Images" to select several at once — the tool accepts JPG, PNG and WebP and works entirely in your browser. As soon as the images load, each one appears as a numbered thumbnail, and the collage preview is assembled just below. If you missed one, the "Add Images" button brings in new files without discarding the ones already there.
The order of the images is the one shown in the thumbnails, and you change it with the arrows on each; the X removes an image from the collage. Next pick the Layout: Horizontal places everything side by side and matches the height of the photos, Vertical stacks them and matches the width, and Grid spreads them across rows and columns. In the first two, each image keeps its original aspect ratio, so photos of different sizes line up without distorting.
In the Grid you set the number of columns and how each image fits its cell. Fill scales the photo up until it covers the whole cell and crops the overflow at the edges, which keeps the grid uniform and gap free. Fit scales the photo down until it fits completely, cropping nothing, and the leftover space takes the background colour — the right choice when the edges matter, as in screenshots and documents. The Spacing and Outer margin controls create breathing room between the photos and around the collage, and Background sets the colour of those spaces, with the option to leave it transparent.
Once the result looks right, pick the format and click "Download Collage". PNG preserves transparency and maximum quality, JPG produces smaller files and WebP balances the two. If the transparent background is ticked and you pick JPG, the background is filled with white, since that format has no alpha channel. The final file is generated at full resolution, without any image leaving your device.

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The collage is assembled locally in your browser, using Canvas and JavaScript. No image is ever uploaded to or stored on our servers.
How many images can I merge at once?
There is no fixed limit on the count. The practical limit is the final collage size, capped at 8000 pixels on the longest side and at a maximum area that varies by device — around 16 megapixels on iPhone and iPad, and 50 megapixels on desktop. Past that, the tool scales it down proportionally and lets you know.
Does the tool work on mobile?
Yes. The interface is responsive and works in any modern browser. To reorder images on a phone, use the arrows on each thumbnail.
Do the images need to be the same size to line up?
No. In horizontal layout the tool matches the height of every image, and in vertical layout it matches the width, always keeping each one's original aspect ratio — the alignment comes out right even with photos of different sizes. In the grid, every cell is the same size and you choose between cropping the image to fill it or fitting it whole against the background.
How do I merge photos for an Instagram post or carousel?
For the square feed, use the grid with 2 columns and four images in Fill mode, which guarantees equal cells. After downloading, run it through the crop image tool to land exactly on 1080x1080 pixels. For the 1080x1350 portrait format, the vertical layout with two photos usually works better.
What is the difference between Fill and Fit in the grid?
Fill scales the image up until it covers the whole cell and crops whatever spills over the edges, leaving the grid with no empty gaps — better for uniform collages. Fit scales the image down until it fits entirely inside the cell, cropping nothing, and the leftover space shows the background colour you picked — better when the content at the edges matters, as in documents and screenshots.
Can I make the background between images transparent?
Yes, by ticking the transparent background option and exporting as PNG or WebP, which are the formats with an alpha channel. If you pick JPG, the format has no transparency support and the tool fills the background with white automatically, to avoid black areas in the final file.
